POWERFUL YOUTH MP RESIGNS APOLOGIZE TO PRESIDENT
An MP who has been in several occasions caught violating traffic rules while driving under alcohol influence has finally resigned. The Rwandan MP, Gamariel Mbonimana quit office yesterday after the President of Rwanda Hon. Paul Kagame and the members of the public raised political immunity concerns. The youthful MP has been driving under influence of alcohol but always gets off hooks due to constitutional protection as a Member of Parliament.

Taking his Twitter account yesterday afternoon, Mbonimana apologized for the wrong mannered characters followed by a resignation letter to the office of the speaker in the National Assembly of Rwanda. The Twitter post also sent a regret of apology to the president of the Republic of Rwanda. The MP vowed to quit drinking alcohol.

Mbonimana wrote, “From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to the President of the Republic and the general public. It was wrong of me to drive under the influence of alcohol. I have decided to quit drinking in this regard. Accept my plea. If entrusted, I am committed to fulfill any other duties. I shall always try my best to serve my people most sincerely in other capacities.”

After resignation as an MP, Mbonimana promised to try his best in serving the citizens of his consituency in any other capacities regardless of his present political status. He also clarified to the public that he will give other details about his future political directions. In an interview Mbonimana affirmed, “There will be a time when I will talk about that but for now I am not commenting about it.
