Top Kenyan Political Analyst Predicts doom for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's Political Future

Kenyan Political Professor cum analyst Hon. Mutahi Ngunyi has now claimed that President Ruto's political marriage with his deputy, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua will come to an end before the August 2027 general elections. Taking to his official Twitter account today in the afternoon, Mr. Ngunyi said that Hon. Musalia Mudavadi who is the Chief Cabinet Minister in the Kenya Kwanza government will be taken by President Ruto as his favourite running mate in the 2027 presidential elections. Mutahi said that the Kikuyu community will be let down by the new government forcing them to go for Peter Kenneth as their kinpin and presidential candidate.

Mutahi wrote, “Mudavadi will be Ruto's running mate in 2027. Kikuyus will be downsized and will need a Kenneth Matiba to regain relevance." In a rejoinder another political analyst, Andati noted that it is still too early to prompt the top government political marriage. Andati affirmed, “Ngunyi is just making speculations though it is not something that can be dismissed. Mudavadi has been a person of goodwill and has mass support, especially from the Luhyas."
